God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla was released on 12/12/23 and is available for PS4 and PS5
I beat the God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla add-on and got the secret ending and all the trophies. I can truly say this is one of the best DLCs I’ve ever played. The fact that it is free is unreal. I would’ve paid 30 bucks, easy. Playing on the hardest difficulty meant sinking many hours into the grueling gauntlet based chapters, and I was more than happy to do so.
Valhalla: A DLC Masterpiece
Narratively, this epilogue is an essential piece of storytelling for any God of War fan. There are a few emotional moments that snuck up on me.
The overhaul to the gameplay is a welcome addition to accommodate the roguelike style. The core combat mechanics remain unchanged, of course.
I really enjoyed every single minute I spent with it, even the ones clenching my controller in frustration. Thank you, Kratos.
